Jungle Joe and the Legend of the Silvanians (Tarragona)
The main character of this story is the ghost of Jungle Joe, an American researcher and archaeologist who fell in love with the Catalan lands and lived on the Tamarit coast. He was known for being an eccentric character who was fascinated by lost civilizations and the most remote legends of the past centuries.
Its ghostly form is far from the image you probably have in your head. You won't find black holes in the eyes or a terrifying sigh, but instead pale skin from so many hours locked in libraries, crooked and unfixed glasses, and a small body used to the comfort of books rather than the frenzy of travel.
His ghost has been hanging around Tamarit for some time, and some visitors of the Jungle Trek vertical forest, named after him, think they saw the figure of a man dressed as an archaeologist.
Jungle Joe is eager to connect with the park's most skilled and enthusiastic visitors. The reason? Recover a sacred object that belonged to the Silvanians, an ancestral tribe with a fascinating, but fearsome power that gave them absolute control over the territory.
